Judaism: Welcome to Our Digital Sukkah

JUDAISM: WELCOME TO OUR DIGITAL SUKKAH

On Friday, October 2, Central MA Connections in Faith organized this event to celebrate the Jewish tradition of Sukkah online over the zoom. More than 60 people from various faiths attended this immersive experience. Rabbi Rachel and Suri took the participants to their backyard, where they built their Sukkah, a temporary hut constructed to celebrate the week-long Jewish festival of Sukkot. They entertained the participants with hymns, enlightened them about Judaism and the significance of Sukkot. Everybody felt as if they were transported virtually to their backyard Sukkah. It was a wonderful experience! After the introduction, participants joined the facilitated conversations in zoom breakout rooms in a group of 5-6 people to learn about each other and reflect on similar festivals in their faith.
